This morning I traveled with some friends of mine to Hamburg city. Although we’re all soccer fans, this was not the reason for visiting the city state. I personally think, HSV just stinks, except when they are loosing against Werder Bremen or winning against Bayern München. Nevertheless we wanted to take a look at the Miniatur Wunderland, located in the famous «Speicherstadt». Miniatur Wunderland is a model railway attraction in Hamburg, Germany, the largest of its kind in the world.
Some facts about the huge and very, very impressive complex (facts from November 2007):
Leased Floorspace | 6.400 m2 |
Model Area | 1.150 m2 |
Construction Areas | 7 |
Track Length | 12.000 meters |

But I don’t want to bore you (sure, why are you reading this blog anyway??) with facts or a description of what I’ve seen. Just take a look at the pictures following on the next page. Moreover I must give you the advice to visit it by yourself: it’s definitely worth a visit and the entrance fee is really fair (they even have reduction for students) and worth every cent.
Yeah, Miniatur Wunderland, just brilliant!!!
