Yepp, you recognized it. I am definetly to lazy to translate the whole previous (German only) posting. Therefore I decided to only pick out a quote of mine, which is quite a good transition. A great sound pioneer, Richard Joseph has passed away. I’m quite sure, that hardly anyone knew this name before this post, me neither. More important than remembering his name only, is thinking and listening to his tremendous art, as he was a composer. In addition he achieved groundbreaking advances in music and sound technology (like including “real voices” in Mega Lo Mania).

But instead of only praising his work, I think people should know on which games Richard has worked on. According to Mirsoft amongst others these are :

Kingdom of Steel revealed

Well, my first posting for this new year is all about music. This time I am trying to make it short: Manowar are going to release their brand new album Gods of War on the 23rd of February in Germany. For all those who are interested, there was a snapshot of the upcoming cover released, where certain parts were left black. Unfortunately the webmaster (or whoever is responsible for the picture) forgot to blacken the “unseen” parts completely. Therefore I decided to show you the modified version of the cover (increasing brightness shows the idea behind the new cover):

Phishing in ThunderbirdThis morning (well it was 1 p.m.) I made an interesting discovery. Finally, after having waited for years, I got my first phishing e-mail. My penny bank wants to have all my banking information, including TANs and PIN, of course. The e-mail itself wasn’t made that bad. The e-mail address from the sender seemed to be correct, but if you took a look at the advanced header, you could have seen that the origin of the mail was lline-202-65-134-34.pol.net.in (HELO system) [202.65.134.34] Moreover the link did not point to sparkasse.de. but to sparkasse.de.redirector9.rwler.info

III. Straf- und Bußgeldvorschriften
§ 24a 0,5 Promille-Grenze:

  1. Ordnungswidrig handelt, wer im Straßenverkehr ein Kraftfahrzeug führt, obwohl er 0,25 mg/l oder mehr Alkohol in der Atemluft oder 0,5 Promille oder mehr Alkohol im Blut oder eine Alkoholmenge im Körper hat, die zu einer solchen Atem- oder Blutalkoholkonzentration führt.
  2. Ordnungswidrig handelt, wer unter der Wirkung eines in der Anlage zu dieser Vorschrift genannten berauschenden Mittels im Straßenverkehr ein Kraftfahrzeug führt. Eine solche Wirkung liegt vor, wenn eine in dieser Anlage genannte Substanz im Blut nachgewiesen wird. Satz 1 gilt nicht, wenn die Substanz aus der bestimmungsgemäßen Einnahme eines für einen konkreten Krankheitsfall verschriebenen Arzneimittels herrührt.
  3. Ordnungswidrig handelt auch, wer die Tat fahrlässig begeht.
  4. Die Ordnungswidrigkeit kann mit einer Geldbuße bis zu eintausendfünfhundert Euro geahndet werden.
  5. Das Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau- und Wohnungswesen wird ermächtigt, durch Rechtsverordnung im Einvernehmen mit dem Bundesministerium für Gesundheit und Soziale Sicherung und dem Bundesministerium der Justiz mit Zustimmung des Bundesrates die Liste der berauschenden Mittel und Substanzen in der Anlage zu dieser Vorschrift zu ändern oder zu ergänzen, wenn dies nach wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnis im Hinblick auf die Sicherheit des Straßenverkehrs erforderlich ist.
